Our kennel is located on 20 acres
in Southeast Kansas where we are planning to build our new home and my dream kennel.
My love of animals has carried me
though the good and the bad times. I have had various breeds during my life-time; but the German Shepherd is the
breed that caught my heart. Their temperament, intellgence, spirit, and beauty is what I
was looking for in a breed.
My husband Jerry, is also, very much a part of my dream. He
supports me in my desire for a kennel by building the kennels and in helping take care of all the animals.
Between us, we have three fantastic children; now living
on their own in all parts of the country. "At Home", our 4 legged children consist of: Rocky; the Boxer, Macho; the Missouri
Foxtrotter, and the German Shepherds: Molly, Tinka (aka Lady), Jule, Gundi, Bacall (Bee), Austi, Beau
and Leada. Plus, a German Shorthair Pointer, named "Little Joe" who keeps us on our toes.
My mother, Lois, has always been an inspiration, and vital to
the belief that the dream of having a kennel can come true. She has taught me that with hard work and a gentle
touch, all things are possible. Mom also receives and handles all paperwork for the kennel, plus makes
the trips with me for training.
With an everlasting gratitude and friendship, to Sharon Cullman,
my sister kennel and who has other outstanding GSD bloodlines (www.vonwolfstal.com). Sharon is always there to share her knowledge and friendship. With her help, extensive knowledge and
her unbounding love of the breed, Sharon found us Tinka and Jule.
I would like to thank Terri & Andy Odor from Springfield.
For without them I wouldn't have realized the beginning of this dream.
I would like to thank Lida Fleury of Whirling Thunder Kennels, for
all her help, wisdom and knowledge she is sharing with me. And then there are the great bloodlines she is helping me bring
into my breeding program.
And finally, Russ Osburn. I have learned so much from him and
know that I will always be a student. He is showing me what it takes to love the breed and to try and bring out the
best in them. And I definitely need to thank him for all his patience he has and is continuing to have with me on my
slower "learning" curve. I have found out that it takes alot longer for me to learn what the GSD can do than it takes
for them to learn it.
